As we left this morning to take Montana to the State Park, as I mentioned in the previous post, the skies started to turn dark again. We were only a mile or two away from the park when the rain began to fall. We decided to keep going, and headed to Table Rock State Park which was about 6 miles away. By the time we got to the Branson Overlook it was raining steady with the sky getting even darker. We stopped and took a couple of pics overlooking Branson and then continued despite the rain.
We got to Table Rock and stopped at the park headquarters and got info about the park, which has rv camping sites, and headed towards the White River Dam which was built by the Corps of Engineers and created the lake. I won’t bore you with all the details, but the visitor center
is very well done and has a wealth of information on the Ozark mountain region. It is well worth the time if you come to Branson. We didn’t go into the campground, but the sites we could see looked well maintained and nestled in the woods. Information is available at the link below:
We headed back to Branson as the skies were clearing, but the weatherman says it’s going to rain tomorrow – our departure day. Ugh!!!
