Woodsmoke is a popular RV Park for snow birds. If you plan to stay there from mid December through the beginning of March you need to make reservations as soon as you can. The park was full when we were there over Christmas 2015. It is clean and well maintained, but like most Florida parks the sites are relatively close. We did feel like we had enough space, and most residents respected that space. There are certain sections where folks have built semi-permanent homes that they return to every year, but they are well maintained with only a few exceptions. The park is dog friendly and has two dog walk areas located on each end of the park. It is really located in Estero, but is next to Ft. Meyers and close to the beaches, shopping and all the congestion you would expect in South Florida during the winter.
We had a nice concrete pad and the prices are comparable to other South Florida parks. The streets are narrow but adequate. I would advise unhooking your tow vehicle before heading to your site. On one of the turns we had to back up a little to make it because the end unit occupant had a trailer that stuck out into the roadway a little. If we wouldn't have unhooked the tow, we couldn't have backed up.
The park has special events every week so there is plenty to do if that is what you like. We preferred to tour the area. We took our dog to one of the best dog beaches we have been to in Bonita Springs. Our dog, Montana, ran in the water with other dogs until he could hardly stand up. Look it up on the internet as it's worth the trip.
Overall, I would rate the park above average and we would definitely return.
